moving to fremont
so it happened....we found a house, and we're moving in two weeks. with all of the excitement, i forgot that buying a house entails moving, and that makes me very sad. i'm so emotionally attached to this house on 18th street. jodie & i decided to take a few rolls of film, documenting the quirkiness of the neighborhood. i think that it will be good, and it will actually help me to distinguish myself from the neighborhood, once it's on paper.on july 4th, all the neighbors lit off their fireworks in the intersection....and then we got up on top of lucy & fred's house, and watched the displays all around town. portland looked so quiet from up there. and there was this awesome sense of community, and i couldn't believe we were leaving this. quimby, the golden retriver across the street, straight out RAN to greet peter yesterday morning. he's our surrogate dog, and we'll be leaving him behind too.
we're excited about the move and the changes....but this has been our first place, and i think it's a little more emotional than we anticipated....
