moving to fremont
so it happened....we found a house, and we're moving in two weeks. with all of the excitement, i forgot that buying a house entails moving, and that makes me very sad. i'm so emotionally attached to this house on 18th street. jodie & i decided to take a few rolls of film, documenting the quirkiness of the neighborhood. i think that it will be good, and it will actually help me to distinguish myself from the neighborhood, once it's on paper.on july 4th, all the neighbors lit off their fireworks in the intersection....and then we got up on top of lucy & fred's house, and watched the displays all around town. portland looked so quiet from up there. and there was this awesome sense of community, and i couldn't believe we were leaving this. quimby, the golden retriver across the street, straight out RAN to greet peter yesterday morning. he's our surrogate dog, and we'll be leaving him behind too.
we're excited about the move and the changes....but this has been our first place, and i think it's a little more emotional than we anticipated....

oh, congratulations! tell us more about the house. what is it near? what is it like? so exciting!
Yay Jessica! I'm so excited for you and Peter. You'll have to let us know all about your new house. How fun!
Jessica! So exciting! I know what it's like to leave a house you love. We left our house of 10 years in the quiet of the country to move to the big (hehe) city of Pendleton. I now am seriously attached to the house in Pendleton and will be really sad if my parents ever move. Good luck with the move and all the excitement. If you ever need a surrogate dog, my Reggie is always free, however he does eat frisbees and electrical cords. Would you be ok with that?
